چکیده
We investigate the Andreev reflection and Josephson effect in $\ensuremath{\alpha}\ensuremath{-}{T}_{3}$ lattice, which falls between graphene ($\ensuremath{\alpha}=0$) dice lattice ($\ensuremath{\alpha}=1$), by adjusting parameter $\ensuremath{\alpha}$. In regime of specular reflection, when incident energy electron is small, probability decreases as $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ increases. On contrary, large, increases Interestingly, approaches superconducting gap function, with approximate all-angle perfect transmission happens case $\ensuremath{\alpha}=1$. retroreflection, increases, regardless value energy. When also give differential conductance these two regimes find that it generally. addition, lattice-based current length junction zero, critical currents different values approach same value.

متن کاملAndreev reflection in graphene nanoribbons
We study Andreev reflection in graphene nanoribbon/superconductor hybrid junctions. By using a tightbinding approach and the scattering formalism we show that finite-size effects lead to notable differences with respect to the bulk-graphene case. At subgap voltages, conservation of pseudoparity, a quantum number characterizing the ribbon states, yields either a suppression of Andreev reflection...
متن کاملCrossover from Josephson to multiple Andreev reflection currents in atomic contacts.
The basic current-carrying mechanism through a superconducting weak link embedded in a resistive environment undergoes a continuous crossover, as the voltage increases, from Josephson Cooper pair transfer exciting electromagnetic modes in the environment to multiple Andreev reflections leading to the creation of quasiparticles. We corroborate these ideas through measurements of the dc current-v...
متن کاملSpecular Andreev reflection in graphene.
By combining the Dirac equation of relativistic quantum mechanics with the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equation of superconductivity we investigate the electron-hole conversion at a normal-metal-superconductor interface in graphene. We find that the Andreev reflection of Dirac fermions has several unusual features: (1) the electron and hole occupy different valleys of the band structure; (2) at normal...
متن کاملFermionic Casimir effect in case of Andreev reflection
– We describe the Fermionic Casimir effect in the case of two spherical superfluid scatterers immersed in a normal Fermi system. It is shown that due to the focusing property of Andreev reflection this new Casimir-like energy is significantly enhanced when compared to the case of normal scatterers with specular reflection. Introduction. – If two or more voids (or hard-wall scatterers) are forme...
